Finally, a week before the marriage date, the perfect spot presented itself. Mere blocks from the church, and possessing the most exquisite light and greenery in the midst of a drought. Check out the last photo of this post, where Todd and Tamara are nestled under the huge, old tree - definitely "wow-worthy" of this beautiful couple on their beautiful day.

Todd and Tamara
I scouted locations for Todd and Tamara's wedding photos months before their big day, but didn't find anything that I felt was good enough for them. It was important to have "wow-worthy" spots to reflect all the time and effort put into their wedding planning. The location also had to be close to Tudor Hall or St. Mary's Church so that their little man could get in the family photos, then be whisked away for naptime.

Engaged: Todd and Tamara
Northern Ontario couple Todd and Tamara took advantage of their winter break down "south" to have their engagement photos taken. Luckily they were in town long enough to wait for a day when the weather cooperated. We met up at Kemptville College, where the beautiful architecture and nature made a wonderful backdrop for a fun couple's session.
Looking forward to their wedding this summer!

Engaged: Shelly and Jeff
Besides meeting fantastic people and hearing their stories, one thing I really enjoy about photo sessions is discovering new, out-of-the-way places I have never visited before.
Shelly and Jeff suggested having their engagement session at MacLaren's Landing, where she grew up. What a hidden gem in The Ottawa Valley! With a beach and dock right across the street, I can't imagine a nicer place to live. They got engaged when she discovered an engagement ring on the end of her fishing line, so it only seemed appropriate to capture this couple doing what they do best - chillin' by the water.
Congratulations, Shelly and Jeff!

Engaged: Krysta and Andy
I recently met up with Krysta and Andy at the the beautiful Brantim Country Garden Centre just outside Ottawa - a great location for an engagement session... and for wedding photos, when the time comes this autumn. Their little guy and his John Deere joined us for part of the session, too, just to add a bit of cuteness to the photos.
Can you feel the love?

Engaged: Andree and Jeff
I met up with Andree and Jeff at Petrie Island last week - what a peaceful spot for some quiet moments.
Along with their canoe and their four-legged "kids", we captured these nature lovers in their natural habitat, haha! I can't think of a better way to spend a beautiful, early Saturday morning.
Looking forward to their wedding in the fall. Congratulations, Andree and Jeff!
